Q: Elbow Pain When Straightening Out My Arm?

The three major sports i play are Bowling, Tennis and Golf. A couple months ago while i was playing tennis i felt a slight twinge in my right arm but I didn't think about it too much. But now, I think I might have hurt my elbow worse doing pushups or something. Whenever i try to straighten my arm out fully(locking my elbow), it hurts really badly. This is the only time it hurts.

Anyone have suggestions?

You might have to pop in and see a pysical therapist, sounds possibly like you have "tennis elbow". Once right to should strengthen your extensor muscles by doing eccentric contractions of the arm.

non union in elbow
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help with the problem i am having with my elbow. I broke my elbow over 10 years ago, and once it totally healed it was 100% ok. After it healed i started lifting weights intensely and would bench press over 200 pounds consistently for years with no elbow pain. I stoped working out for a while and recently went back to the gym. I was lifting maybe 100 pounds instead of the 200 that i used to lift, and when doing the first rep i had an intense shooting pain in my elbow, which is not preventing me from working out. After looking at the MRI my doctor says i have a non union which is causing my pain. Is this possible? Can i be fine for 10 years with a non-union, and then all of a sudden start getting pain from it? I dont quite beleive my doctor and feel he is just making that up cause he doesnt know what is really causing the pain. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Mike
