it sounds like your period isn't 28 days apart at all but more like 30-32 days.
from your post it does sound like you aren't too clued up on pregnancy, so maybe you should get some books from the library and bring yourself up to speed on stuff.

You might want to get a general health check from your doctor as well, because typically people fall pregnant within a year of actively trying, but then you could have been missing your fertile times. A health check is good and also start taking pre-natal vitamins and make sure your diet is healthy and balanced.
