i recently turned 65 and had a general
health check blood tests etc,the results
came back ok apart from a high psa count
which was 8 an appointment was made to see
a consultant at my local hospital,must add
have no symptoms re passing water or any
pain,the consultant examined me saying my
prostate was enlarged he told me they
could moniter it in the future or could do
a byopsy but explained the problems that
could cause ie infection,clots,difficulty
passing water,i have agreed to wait and
watch,i realise that most men of my age
have an enlarged prostate,would like any
comments on this problem as i am quite
concerned,

Well, it sounds like you are pretty well
informed. Like you said, enlarged
prostates can be, and often are, caused by
infections. So hopefully, it's a simple
infection that will be no problem at all.
