FIrst and foremost I took one and only Depo shot back in OCtober 2006...October 11th..the first day of my period. It was a mess.I bled for 2 months.Shot was due January...I spotted on the 6th and 7th of January around the time my shot was due.Went to the doc's..they prescribed birth control pills.I didn't take them because a week later...my period came back and it was regular...as a matter of fact..it came back on the 10th of February. This month..I cramped around that time..and I didnt see anything.Body temperature is a little up.Left breast burning a little bit.Talked to a pharmactst and she told me that after a normal period..your body usually bounces back to regular or 28-31 days..I talked to a nurse and she said that after a period there isnt enough Depo left to protect against pregnancy.i want to be pregnant and according to them I'm 10 days late..so I was wondering is this just wishful thinking or could I possibly be pregnant again........

We can't tell you anything. If you had unprotected sex, yes you could be pregnant. Take a test. This would be better in the Am I Pregnant? forum.

The nurse is correct, after three months you are no longer fully protected agianst pregnancy. So it is possible that you are pregnant. However, for them to tell you that you are expected to be back on a regular cycle after having only one period is being a little...ambitious. Depo can/will mess with your cycle for up to 18 months after you discontinue use. Unfortunately, it is up to the individual. Many women become pregnant immediately, some take longer. I would suggest that you take a pregnancy test to determine if you are infact pregnant. (depo will have no effect on a pregnancy test) If you are not pregnant, you should start taking the birth control that was prescribed to you. I understand that you are ttc. If you begin taking the pill, you should be able to discontinue use after two to three months and have a much better chance of ovulating regularly, which will make ttc much easier.

Keep us posted!
