What are you reading now or what was the last book you read.

I just finished reading the original unabridged version of Pollyanna and now I've ran out of books again.

I simply don't have anything I haven't read (well apart from some of Steve's books that don't interest me)

I need to go book shopping

i started to post this same thing earlier but changed my mind.

right now i'm reading the new jodi picoult book "19 minutes", it's about a school shooting. jodi picoult is my favorite author even though her books have gone downhill lately. i think she's started rushing a bit just to get them out quickly. if anyone is interested in checking her out, my favorites are "second glance" and "keeping faith", but really they're all good.

i was reading "the memory keeper's daughter", i don't remember who wrote it. i got halfway through and kind of forgot about it.

i also love elinor lipman, my favorite of hers is "the inn at lake devine".

and my third favorite is billie letts, she wrote "where the heart is" but i like her other 2 books better.

i own all the books by each of these authors and i read them over and over.

Pollyanna? Is that the movie about the young English blond girl? I have seen the movie, but the only part that sticks in my mind is when she fell off the roof. I bet that's a great book.

I love John Saul, Mary Higgins Clark, Nicholas Sparks, and of course Stephen King. I actually like Stephen King's movies better than his books. I drove past his creepy house today

umm well, unless it's avery messed up version.... no.
Pollyanna is from west usa and has to go live in the east uas with her aunt polly when her (pollyanna's) father dies.

Pollyanna, plays the "glad game" finding something to be glad about in everything.
Like if you are sick, you can be glad that not everyone is sick.

It's from the early 1900's so it's a bit wierd in some places but it is an awesome book.

nope Confused I usually don't like movies made from books lol

in the original she goes out to sleep on the roof just after she arrives at aunt polly's but she doesn't fall...

see I hate how they mess the script up lmao

i've never read the book but when i was little i loved all hayley mills movies, especially pollyanna and the parent trap.

in the movie she is punished and told she can't go to the church bazaar, but she's in a pageant and ends up sneaking out and when she's sneaking back in she falls when she climbs a tree up to the roof. it's at the end, it always made me cry.

White .oleander, .the .virgin .suicides, and .the .lovely .bones are all favorites of mine. They're all so well written and have almost a peace to them - like a beautiful pain. I can't describe it.

Memoirs of a .geisha is on my top favorites, too. Loooove that book.

Harry .potter is my ultimate re-read series. the .sonja .blue collection is right under it.
