Help? Posted: 02-16-04 09:31am
Hi, I just have a few questions for anyone
that will help?..Ok I just graduated high
school about a year ago..I have gained 10
lbs and I wanted to know what I can do to
help..I go to school 4 days a week 8 hrs a
day so I hardly ever have time to eat..I
know i'm not eating to much and I work out
at the gym at least 4 times a week. I
was wondering if there is a healthy diet
pill that speeds up metabolism so that I
can lose that extra 10 lbs! Thanks

Don't spend money for anything my dear!!
Go on the atkins diet. You will take
that ten pounds off in the first fourteen
days and if you keep with it you will be
energized and healthier then you have been
in a while! And you can believe me
because I am on it, and I am not trying to
sell you anything!!!

You know if you are working out &
going to school & studying all of
which burns calories but not eating (you
have time you just choose not to eat) then
you body goes into the protection mode
from our caveman days, they sometimes got
lots of food then went ages with none or
little so the body reduces the calories it
uses to store them so we can keep going,
then as we're no longer cavemen we gain
weight, whereas if you exercise & do
your usual things & eat sensibly &
regularly your body doesn't respond like
that of a caveman instead it starts using
the calories it needs as it needs them
because it knows more fuel will follow.
So start finding time to eat (sensibly
& atkins or whatever suits you is
fine) & keep up the activities &
the weight will drop just don't expect it
to happen overnight.

Yeah purple is right on that one. Just
take sensible food with you. Like a
sandwich or celery sticks or whatever it
is that you like. That way when you do
get hungry, you eat something and your
metabolism will speed up. When you only
eat once a day (and not right at all) your
body will do what purple said. You may
not even need to do atkins or anything.
If you just start eating small amounts of
healthy food when your body tells you it
is hungry, then your metabolism should
speed back up and you will lose that ten
pouns.

Failure to Eat Tells Body It's Starving Posted: 03-15-04 13:16pm
Although no expert, the research i've read
states unequivocably that when you do not
eat at regular intervals, the body decides
it is starving and converts all intake
into fat. As the others have said, eat
every meal and in between times as long as
it's healthy and not mickie d's. That
lets the body know you aren't starving,
the metabolism will perk up.
With your limited eating system, you may
well be nutrient deficient. This complex
system we reside in needs all the
necessary nutrients for optimal health.
Fad diets are a prime example of
unbalanced and unhealthy nutrient schemes.
Anyone on a fad diet needs a quality
broad spectrum multi vitamin with all
essential nutrients. The one we're on
has 178 ingredients which is just about
top of the line!
