Belly Button Ring? Posted: 03-19-07 11:05am
Hi guys, .i was just wondering if and when
.i should take out my belly button ring.
I'm 24 weeks now, and .i really don't want
to take it out, but a few people have told
me that .i should soon. i don't have any
stretch marks or anything like that, but i
don't know how the ring will affect any of
that. Did anyone leave theirs in
throughout their pregnancy? I'm just
worried about it stretching and looking
crappy if .i don't take it out. Any
advice???

I took mine out, but that was only for my
comfort. The bigger my stomach got, the
more my ring would snag on things. Go
figure.
They make plastic rings and bars. I'm not
sure, but they might be flexible. You
might want to look into something like
that if you're interested in keeping your
ring in.
I hope that helps!

Not sure about this one.. I took mine out
when I found out I was pregnant but that
was just a personal choice. Dannzibelle
just posted pics of her belly & she
still has hers in though, so maybe you
could talk to her?

Thanks . I'll probably
look at getting some plastic bars just in
case. Right now it's not uncomfortable or
anything, but I don't know how .i'll feel
3 months from now! I'm just hoping that
leaving it in won't cause any skin
problems (stretch marks, scarring, etc.).
I left my metal one in for my entire
pregnancy and only took it out after I
gave birth (I had to remove all my
jewellery before going to be stitched
up).. as soon I could I put it back in, I
was paranoid about it healing up! My tummy
didn't get very big though so it didn't
get uncomfortable or anything.

Painful
Pleasures do ptfe jewelery to wear
while pregnant - you can cut it to a
length to suit you as the bar is self
threading meaning the thread is created
when you screw the ball on for the first
time.

order it online?

My sister managed to keep a normal bar in
throughout the whole of her pregnancy,
rather her than me! Mine started to feel
itchy and tight so i went onto ebay and
typed in 'pregnancy belly bar' and got one
from there, they're very good because they
move with your body and are very long so
you can move it to the side when your
belly button pops out. I wouldn't be
without mine now.

a quality piercer's should sell ptfe
jewelery and I'm fairly sure you'll find
them on ebay - just be sure to sterilise
it before you use it.

hi there.. I kept my belly ring the entire
time. I gained 65 lbs, and my baby was 10
lbs. I bought a eye browring ( the curly
one) and put it in, it is larger, which
gives more space for your skin. Went I
actually went to deliver though, i took it
out, and put it back in immediatly after
returning to my hospital room.
i didn't get any stretch marks either.

Thats what i was thinking. Although some
people do wear small belly bars like
literally so you can see the ball on top
and then on the bottom

Well maybe it isn't a brow ring... it is
one that is curly. It curls twice....I am
not sure of the whole piercing thing, with
all the parts
and where things go, so maybe it isn't
for your brow. I don't know where it
would be for.
It did the trick though........
I only have my ears...which don't count I
know...and my navel

I am due on Friday, and I just barely took
mine out, only because it was starting to
get really red...I'm not very big, people
still can't believe that i'm pregnant! I
just stick my bar back through every other
day, it doesn't close up as fast as your
tongue would.
