I went to my gyno this friday, and she did a pap smear and all that uncomfortable stuff.
Later on in the day i noticed spotting, but i guess thats nothing to worry about, and is normal after a pap smear.
I started getting cramps later on in the day, but by 10pm they were completely gone and no more spotting.

It was my birthday/my boyfriends birthday this friday/saturday, and we had some intense sex (lasting about a half hour/45 minutes.. not normal for us) We used, Liquid silk lube, and our trojan condoms, (we always use these) but this time things ended differently. The next day, i felt really REALLY sore down there, and there wasnt a discharge or anything. I thought it would go away, but it didnt. That night i woke up to go pee, and thought i should check it out with a mirror. I noticed alot of swelling, the vaginal opening was extremely swollen, and the labia minora was a little puffy. Still no discharge, and no odor. I checked a few websites and i still cant figure out what to do about this. The swelling has gone down a little, but im still worried. How can i prevent/treat this? or should i just go see a doctor

It sounds like rather normal swelling due to over use Wink

My vagina tends to swell a lot after sex recently too. I read it could be from not being properly lubed, or just from too much friction. If there isn't any discharge its probably just normal swelling from too much use in too short a time.

it will go away...right now I am dealing with the same thing. My husband and I had crazy sex the other night, and got pretty rough by times. i am sore today, adn ervytme I pee it stings. I think i may be getting a uti. Which I do get every once in a while. Make sure you pee right after sex, i usually fall asleep, and I blame that on my problem now.

the only thing is I often get a yeast infection along with the UTI, and I really hope that doesn't happen this time, nut it is feeling like one is in the works.

I think a big part of the pain im experiencing now is due to the 2 infections i just had....i got a form of vagina infection then right after that i got a really bad urinary tract infection.

There probably is not too much to be worried about. I always try not to stress over these things....although when i had my UTI and didnt know what it was i was a little freaked out.

what you have sounds exacty like what i have had a few times. i'm pretty sure it's vigorous sex that causes it - nothing else.

just be very gentle with yourself for a while! i would always be very conscious about hygiene down there, and i would wash with soap and water, but on the few occasions that i have had severe irritation down there, i found that i healed much better when i didn't wash that area in the shower, just let water run over it instead, just for a few days.

be careful to drink a lot of water too, cos sometimes when i get this it turns into a uti. and that's not fun.

DOn't worry hon; you've taken the first steps to knowing what's wrong. It may just be a simple infection. Good luck!!

Go on the internet and google up Bartholin's gland cysts and see if thats what you have. I pray to God not. Just look up symptoms and see thats all and let me know if thats what you have in a pm. If you think you have a Bartholin's cyst your gonna be in for some painnnn. I know. I've had a couple of them.

i was positive it was not a uti because ive had them before and i know what they feel like.

it was OUTSIDE of my vagina... EXTERNAL.. where i shave.. not on the inside..

i took 2 days worth of anitbiotics and it was gone.. i finished my 10 days and got a call from the doctor.. she said it doesnt look like it was an std.. my doctor sucks, and can never diagnose anything. But i have to go back in six weeks to gte more blood work so i can be sure its not an std
