im 16 years old now and i often think my penis is too small (im sure u get this all the time), its about 4 and a half inches (4'6) maybe a little smaller and i get the feeling its not near as big as it should be, I find it hard to believe that the average size is 5 to 6 inches, i also heard it stops growing around the age of 21, and lets face it i dont got much time to go, it seems like it is growing 1 MM per year! also is there a problem with me not using any lubricants when i masterbate? i dont use lotion or whatever else people use, nothin, i get the feeling this isnt normal even though last time i asked about it the response to it was "people each have a unique way of masterbating" but i still think im one of a kind on this no lube masterbation, and that cant be good.

Yes, the average is indeed 5-6 inches. If you doubt that it's probably because your comparisons from porn. You can find a breakdown of the size and percentages online. Many are bigger, many are smaller, but 5-6 is the average.

If you don't grow any bigger then you have to realize a couple things. First, realize the only thing that makes it a big deal is you thinking it's a big deal. Having confidence in yourself is more important than having a big penis. Depending on how much you let this bother you, determines how you will achieve it. If you obsess over it, maybe a therapist would be needed. Otherwise, just having enough confidence to go out and live, get a girlfriend to love, and see how it doesn't bother her might be enough to make you confident.

Second, you need to realize that you don't need a large penis to satisfy a woman. Most women achieve orgasms through clitoral stimulation. That's achieved by your pelvis rubbing on her during sex, or using your hand, tongue, etc. A larger penis does not mean better clitoral stimulation. In fact, a smaller penis might mean shorter strokes, equating to more pelvis contact. Additionally, many women do not achieve orgasm through intercourse at all, so it's important for all men to learn other techniques. Learn to please women with what you've got, and you've got more than a penis. Finally, if a woman is able to achieve non-clitoral orgasm from intercourse, it's usually from the g-spot. The g-spot is reachable by fingers, so certainly reachable by 4.6".

You're absolutely not alone in the no-lube masturbation. It depends on preference, sensitivity, and probably how someone did it when they first started. It's my idea that it would also depend on foreskin. Without foreskin it would probably be uncomfortable run your hand over your glans without lubrication. With foreskin, you're never running your hand over, but instead rolling your foreskin over the glans. That doesn't mean that circumcised men can't masturbate without lube. I'm circumcised, but still have enough foreskin that I can use it to masturbate without lubrication. I'd say that 90 % of my masturbation, my whole life, has been done without lubrication.

Finally, if you're considering looking into enlargement possibilities, read some of my comments in this thread:

I agree with Healthy.

The average penis is 5-6 inches, but penis size varies a great deal. 4 inches is by no means uncommon, neither is 8 inches. There's just a lot of variation.

A lot of men use lubrication, and a lot don't. There isn't anything wrong with it either way.

Yes, it's possible you might still grow. I don't remember when mine stopped growing. Though, I do remember when I was your age I was concerned about size too. With age came knowledge and confidence.

If you're gonna follow the American media's "Go Big or Go Home" mantra, then just consider the "Go big" part to mean, make sure she gets her's. As opposed to meaning having a part of your body that you have absolutely no control over, be big. Learn to let go of that which you cannot control and compensate and even flourish with what you can.

Waking up with erections won't ever stop, though not everyone gets them forever. There's multiple causes for morning erections, but the likely possibilities means you'll most likely get them forever. Nothing to be embarrassed about. They can be caused by your bladder filling at night and pressing on your prostate, causing an erection. Some claim this is to prevent you from urinating while you sleep, as it is difficult to urinate with an erection. Sexual dreams can spawn them. Another theory is that you get erections to maintain a healthy penis which needs blood and oxygen, and that since oxygen levels are higher at night you get more erections at night.

You're young yet, so you'll probably continue to get "no reason boners" for several more years. Your hormones are high so that's just something that happens. Eventually they'll happen less.
