Q: Vaginal Cuts

For the last couple of weeks I've had small cuts in the vaginal area. When it feels as if they are getting better my vagina starts to itch to the point where if I don't scratch it bothers me. So I scratch it to relieve the sensation but that only makes it worse. I take showers daily but it never changes. It just seems to get worse. At first I thought that it might be a yeast infection but since I had one years ago I know the symptoms and I don't have any of them. I haven't gone to the doctor since I have a 1 year old at home who has been feverish for several days now. Does anyone have any suggestions to what it might be and what I can do to make it heal?

Crissy82,
I'm having the same problems... I have never had a yeast infection but I am beginning to think that that is what it is. According to my research, symptoms may vary every time it flares up. I've recently (today) spotted some dry patches of skin that I'm wondering if the medical term 'skin liaisons' is the same thing. I think I'm going to treat myself for a yeast infection, and if it still does not stop, then I'll know that that wasn't it.

I have had the same cute before. I don't think its a yeast infection. I have had one and its not like that, when you use the restroom, it burns but there aren't any cuts. To be completely honest I believe its from finger nails or sexual activity. When masturbating, your nails can cut you down there. Just a thought...

Have You Been Tested For Stds?
I used to work for a gynecologist and he said that as soon as someone says that they have little cuts or it feels like cuts in the vaginal area that automatically the first thing they look for is herpes. He said that herpes feels just like a bunch of paper cuts and when you pee it burns really bad. Just a thought, I don't want to insult you or anything, but if you haven't been tested you really should. Everyone that has had sex should. After working with STDs you would be amazed at what is out there, I certainly was.
