Q: Unhappy Baby

Jenny used to be a fab eater. Recently she went on to having 6oz each feed, sometimes 5 if she wasn't that hungry. The last few days she's suddenly changed.. every time I feed her she starts screaming after she's had 1 or 2oz. I thought it was wind at first, but even after a few good burps she carries on screaming and rejecting the bottle.

It's getting really frustrating because I'm worried she's not getting enough milk. She sleeps more often, and sleeps through the night even with having less milk, but she's still small for her age and she's expected to keep piling the weight on.

Is this teething, or something else? Please help =(

yes , could very well be teeth coming...it hurts them to suck when they are getting ready to pop out...give her some cereal with lots of milk to fill her up. oh and with a spoon not in the bottle.

She's 4 months on monday.

She still smiles and giggles all the time.. but she screams and sticks her bottom lip out (soooo cute) when it's food-time. She still loves sucking her dummy though.. it's weird.

Hmm, that's weird. Maybe she is starting to teeth. Maybe the pressure of the nipple on her gums is owwie for her.

Then again, .i'm just guessing. Alyvia hasn't cut any teeth yet, so I have zero experience so far in that area.

You're sure she isn't running a temperature or anything? Maybe she's just being a bit of a grouch, or maybe her tummy isn't feeling well. I really don't know.

Keep us updated, okay? Poor .jenny. Sad

My son is 4 months on the 24th and he has his two bottom teeth. He started teething at 2.5 months. He didnt eat when they were cutting out for days he was rejecting the bottle and screaming for no reason, well actually now i know the reason but then i did not.
it sounds like she may be starting to teeth. Is she drooling alot?

Yeah she is actually, she started dribbling a few weeks ago, and chewing her fist a lot, so I presumed she had started teething.. I didn't realise it would affect her feeding. Even my mum didn't know what was upsetting her and she thinks she knows everything about babies Laughing

No she's not running a temperature or anything .Laura, I checked as soon as she started acting grumpy.. I'll let you know how we get on!

i hope for your sake that its not reflux.....my son would scream at every feeding too...his esphogus was burned from acid...hopefully its just teething and it will pass. but it could also be an ear infection.

sounds like teething too, also make sure she doesnt have thrush in her mouth that can bother them when they eat as well. jordynne has started teething and she turns 3 mths on march 25th, she drools sooooo much and chews her hands. She still eats and sleeps fine though. Every babies different though.
