for the past three days i have been feeling this weird fluttering vibration just below my sternum it sort of feels like gas. at first I didnt think anything of It and just ignored it I thought that it was going to go away but it wasnt and I'm starting to get worried. this fluttering seems to get worse with a little bit of pain at times sometimes the fluttering goes a way for a couple of minutes but the discomfort is still there.

“Weird, fluttering sensation below the sternum” that “feels like gas” and “a little bit of pain” indicate that you may be experiencing possible somatoform disorder. Somatoform disorder is a type of neurotic disorder typical for people your age. Stress and anxiety at your age often manifest with symptoms that appear to be real diseases. Nonetheless, you can visit your primary health provider to exclude a possible stomach disorder.

Dr. Gjuzelov? Why do you think these symptoms are psychological? GERD can cause fluttering sensations below the sternum as well as tenderness when slight pressure is applied. I think you may need to reconsider your response.
