Is there a difference between the symptoms if your gallbladder is inflamed and just stones? I've read an inflamed gallbladder can be life threatening, and last night the pain lasted about 5 hrs to sever i was vomiting. Usually it has subsided after an hour. I just dont want something bad to happen and it become inflamed and I am unaware. I have gallbladder surgery scheduled for april 5th.

Yes, there is a difference between gallbladder inflammation and gallbladder stones. Different symptoms manifest depending upon if the gallstones are followed by inflammation of the gallbladder, or not. Pain, nausea, and vomiting are present in both cases but if a person is experiencing inflammation, fever and high temperature are also present. An inflamed gallbladder is under risk of rupturing. A rupture of the gallbladder is a life-threatening condition and requires urgent surgical operation.
