Q: Fissures?

I've been having sex for almost 3 years now and just recently everytime I have sex no matter how rough it is, the bottom of my vagina splits open like a fissure. It stings and bleed, its like a really bad papercut.
My partner now is not nearly as large as someone I was with before and that never happened so it is not a question of my vaginal opening size.
I was also diagnosed with Herpes Simplex 1 just months before me and this new partner got together.
Is this some horrible side effect that will never leave? Or does anyone else know what I'm experiencing?

It sounds like you're having too rough of sex without enough lubircation. It's quite possible that a smaller partner can move around more inside of you and cause more damage than someone who is simply big.

i get this too. in the same place, the same way, every time. i think it is a lubrication issue though.

I dunno girls I mean I used to be really dry before with someone who wa a lot bigger and rougher and this has never happened...it's been about 6 weeks now and I do give it time to heal but it doesn't seem to help.
Being on top lessens the fissure and the pain but that's not going to be fun forever. I'm from a really small area and the only ob-gyn around here I have issues with.

Has anyone else had this and gotten over it?

be really gentle until it has fully healed. i found that normal activities which involved touching down there would open up the little cuts again. wheever you have a wee and are wiping, be really cautious. or instead of wiping jjust press the toilet paper there for a second instead. i found this helped a lot. and also when you are showering, resist the temptation to use soap directly on the fissures. i found basically that leaving them alone as much as possible and avoiding sex made it go away fairly quickly. hope yours do, too.
