Q: My Boyfriend Is Donating Blood. Does It Affect His Sperm?

Im not donating blood because Im trying to conceive! Mad Now my boyfriend is donating blood because his friend is offering. I dont want to tell his freind we are trying to conceive. Thats our personal buissness? Mad If my boyfriend donates every week does that affect his sperm? Crying or Very sad

So your saying it is safe for himm to donate while trying to conceive. Meaning it wont affect his sperm???????????? Embarassed

You can donate blood while trying to concieve. As long as you are not pregnant when you donate it is fine.

Your boyfriend's sperm will not be affected by taking a bit a blood. Why would you think it would?

You can't donate blood every week... The Red Cross only lets you donate like every 48 days or something like that. Maybe its 56 days. I can't remember the exact # of days, but if he does I don't think it would have any affect on his sperm.

maybe she means donating plasma? my boyfriend donates plasma once or twice a week. & .that doesn't affect your sperm. i got pregnant (twice) & he's been donating regularly for about 2 years.

Ok... gotcha...

My ex used to do that sometimes too. I almost forgot all about that because I haven't heard of anyone doing that since I was in college. Opps I think I may have just aged myself...
