My mother recently died, She was taken to the ER and the blood pressure machine was indicating that her pressure was high and then it drop all the sudden very low? The ER staff started loading her up with dopeamean(not sure if it is spelled this way). My father kept asking them to take a manual reading and after 15 minutes or so they took 3 manual readings which indicated that her blood pressure was normal, but they kept giving her large dosages of dopeamean to rise her pressure. shortly after that she went into a comma type state and 5 days later all her organs shut down( all this time they are still giving her the dopeamean) and she pass away of heart failure. She had previously had a stroke(6-7 years earlier) and 3 months before this happened she suffered a major heart attack, but she made her way back and was sent home in good shape before she was sent to the ER complaining of a pain in her stomach. My question is could the med's that they were giving her for the blood pressure have caused her death?

Hello,

Sorry to hear about your mother....I just can't imagine how you and your family can overcome this..

Actually,I don't know what's the use of the drug that you indicated...But what happen to your mother is that maybe, the drug that they gave her to rise her pressure is to provide her enough oxygen..because when blood pressure is very low.....there will be not enough oxygenated blood that can supply or body..and when to much high blood pressure, this can cause clotting in the blood vessel....so if blood clot happens...the other organs on our body will not have oxygenated blood...so the heart will pump more blood to supply them..when this happen..the clot blood vessel will bust..that's the cause of stoke.

Why not ask the doctor what just happen that day to your mother....So that all your doubts will be answered...I'm pretty sure that the doctor will answer all your questions..

For me...I'm just right here..I will pray for you and our family.
