my colon had to be rebuilt in 1990, due to it straightening itself out..after the operation I found out that the doctor had left an extra 3 feet of colon pigtailed across my stomach, rather than remove the excess.. No explaination why other than I had been thru enough..?
Had another DR look at it through upper and lower GI series and was told that as long as I was active it should not cause problems.
NOW, in the past year I gained 60 lbs, no explaination for it as I dont eat..
My metabolism has shut down, I cannot exercise due to being disabled from work related injury in 1993..
I feel bloated all the time, constipated all the time, I can go sometimes with laxative and stool softeners, but never feel completely empty.. Regular DR thinks I may have blockage, but when I do a self cleansing, It flushes to water ..
Could my colon be kinking up more around this pigtail, I have adhesions from this also?? My mom died of strangulated intestines, so now Im starting to get afraid.. Lately my BP has been up and so has my temperature.. Both upper and lower abdomen and stomach are bloated and feel uncomfortable.
Should I have them do a cat scan or something of the bowel? DR suggested xray, but I dont think he believes that I have that extra 3 feet of intestine looped across my stomach.. The records are not available anymore.. So he really doesnt seem interested.. He suggested a fleets enema, but that would only clean out below the pigtail..
