Otitis Media, Sucks. Posted: 03-13-07 00:22am
Really really really, it sucks so bad its
not funny. Sorry for the language, but
after having dealt with it for the past
year you just tend not to give a shet.
6 months ago i was diagnosed with it and 2
days after that i had the operation that
follows most people with it. Not the
ventilation tubes, but just the sucking of
the mucus from my ear. The first doctor I
went too scared me alot and told me that I
had to get the operation immediately if
not i would go deaf in 2-3 days. The
family doctor did it practically for free
and went through with the operation.
8 months later or 2 months ago whatever
floats the boat, I had the same problem,
started hearing as though i was covering
my ear... this is my present state.... I
went to another doctor, scared us with his
prices, not too good... but told us i
wasn't gonna go deaf anytime soon. The
other just needed money. I went too a
acupuncturist, she made me feel good and
taught me the method to decongestant
myself temporarily. She said it would heal
it eventually. Ofcouse iam a ignorant guy
and have a short attention span and want
things done quick. Iam tired of the pain
in my ear, the operation that rids of the
mucus is a temporary relief and a painful
process, I dont want it, but as a last
resort it will happen. I was taken a
mexican medication, which i believe has
its american version, 3 different meds,
Augmentin, Grifed, Surifed, and a nasal
spray called Unicar or Rinocor. For all
that i spend about 150 in mexico or 300
here in the US. Ither way Augmentin is an
antibiotic, Grifed is for allergies or its
a deconjestant or somethign like Claritin
D and the other one i might be confusing
with Grifed or it might be a the one for
my allergies, and the nasal spray Unicar
is also a deconjestant like Grifed i
think.
Sorry for the ultra long post, but its
hard to find solutions at home.
Any responses are extremley extremley
appreciated.
