I am obviously trying to get pregant. If I go to the bathroom to do number 2 Rolling Eyes (poo) 20 min after having intercourse, does that lower my chances of trying to conceive? Embarassed Because when I had a bowel movement I saw goowy stuff drip down (semen)? Embarassed

Of course not. It's natural that the semen will come back out. The sperm are already swimming toward the pot of gold.

Of course they can. And they will.

There's no way to keep semen in your body. It will come back out. You could stand up immediately after sex and still have a great chance of becoming pregnant.

I promise you, they're still in there.

Yes. I have a 7 month daughter. I stayed still for maybe 10 minutes and got pregnant immediately.

The semen dripped out and everything. Wink

Just search google for "semen dripping out" - you'll see many articles about how this won't hurt your chances of getting pregnant. I would post some of the information here, but I don't want to violate copyrights.

Just trust me when I say - the little swimmers are still inside of you.

I just went to my OBGYN and she suggested laying down with a pillow under your hips for at least 20 minutes after intercourse.

The reason behind this is that the semen actually aid the sperm in thriving, thus increasing your chances of becoming pregnant. Hope that helps!

this is truth though u can gett pregnant if ur standing up butt its better that after u have sex u putt ur legs up or a pillow under ur hips and i know its truth cuz thats how i got pregnant.

.or you probably got pregnant from having unprotected sex. it may help increase your odds, but elevating your hips alone will not insure that you become pregnant.


.rene, don't worry! you can become pregnant even if you stand up right after having sex, or even if you pee or have a bowel movement right after having sex. semen may help the little spermies on their way, but it's completely normal for it to drip out afterwards! it has nowhere to go! the sperm, on the other hand, are already swimming their little hearts out to get to the egg!
