i have so many things that i want to do to
my house.
i just suddenly got really house proud and
want to completely change my decor
i am completely mad, i know but i want
cream carpet and black leather sofa. i
don't have the money for it though and the
kids would destroy it in two minutes
white carpet and kids=
it will take me sooooo long to save and
neil still isn't paying maintenence yet
 i want to
wall paper my living room as it's painted
at the mo and i'm scared the kids will rip
it off
*****sorry for pointless vent*****
what's the decor like in y'all's houses?

i don't know what i'd call mine... comfy
casual?
here's our living room...
i can't wait until we don't have giant
baby items stashed in every corner, you
can even see his car seat stuck behind the
black table.

I LOVE interior design.
I just wish I could keep things so much
tidier - I am crap at tidying/storage and
I'm a hoarder lol - fortunately Steve
isn't.
All rooms have pure briliant white
ceilings and coving; neutral color
vertical blinds; white central heating
radiators; white doors and frames; beech
skirting; (or at least they will when the
kitchen and bathroom ever get finished).
We plan on replacing all internal doors
with pine doors that have 12 frosted glass
panels in
lounge - pale copper (crown) bottom half *
pale gold (crown) top half * celtic-y
style border in copper/gold in middle *
beech laminate flooring * natural wood
bookcase * maple effect entertainment
centre * grey sofa and chairs
bedroom - first dawn (dulux) top half *
illusions (dulux) bottom half * same
border as lounge but in blue/grey * beech
laminate flooring * beech effect bed, side
tables, wardrobes and chest of drawers
office - 3 walls are perfect peach (crown)
and 1 wall (window wall) warm apricot
(crown) * beech laminate flooring * beech
effect desks and filing systems
bathroom - around bath pine cladding floor
to ceiling * half height pine cladding on
rest of room * top half (where not
cladded) blue lagoon (dulux) * cork tile
flooring * natural wood accents (mirrors
etc) * white suite
kitchen - pale gold (crown) * large
sunflowers stuck on walls * stainless
steel fridge/freezer * maple effect units
(some solid front, some frosted glass
front) * dark blue work tops * solid pine
4 seater table * flooring - undecided
hallway - pale gold (crown) * flooring -
undecided
Dulux Colors
Crown Colors
I'll take pics when it's tidy
**edit to add**
I found the crown swatches

thats josephs room. the ceilings slant
down on one side upstairs in both rooms ,
luckily the master bedroom is downstairs
with no slanted ceiling, it takes away the
space in the room. josephs room also now
has the little table and chairs that go
with his bed in his room amongst tons of
toys and stuffed animals, i got him a
giant shamu as big as him at seaworld

I went through loads of tester pots and
was so glad I did.
the first colors I'd picked for the lounge
were horrid once painted and dried.
I bought an A3 artist pad and painted each
page half and half of the colors I chose
and then stuck a strip of border on to see
how they looked and then held in various
parts of the room like behind the door, by
the window, in daylight and false light.
but it saved us making a mistake on the
actual walls lol.
I wanted (and got) calm neutrals and when
people come round thet do compliment how
relaxing it is and how well it goes
together.
ugh I wanna take pics now but it is
soooooooooooo not tidy.
Bridget you wanna lend me your domestic
skills hun?

cover. i loved that duvet cover so much so
we tried to work the whole room around it.

i'm on my way!
seriously though, i like to just pick one
thing and work around that. like the duvet
cover for the bedroom, the couches for the
living room. i think finn's room is a
little over the top but i guess it's cute
for a baby, sometimes i'm like "what was i
thinking?!" though.
thanks for the compliments everyone!
