Unfortunately, the answer to your question is yes. Sometimes people with symptoms go on for even longer than you have without having a positive mri. I would urge you to continue your medication however, just on the possibility that you do have ms. Have you had a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) yet? Most neurologists want their patients to have one of those done during the diagnostic process also.

I have had ms for 17 yrs and still no leisons and all the test say I am okay. But there why am I sick ? Well the doctor call it multiple sclerosis because they dont know what is wrong and thats the darn truth.

25 years here and I have a clear mri for a brain scan. My problem was damage to the spinal cord.

There is a product called reliv, I am taking it for joint pain, and sciatica pain. I have been on it for 3 months and I do not have any more symptoms. I have heard of many people with ms using this all natural powerful antioxiant nutritional supplement and having amazing results. I am a distributor and I am so so happy to hear people tell me they are feeling better and have more energy than ever before. I am not kidding this product is wonderful. My friend has ms and she is going get on it next week, this is a pure food supplement with all the vitamins that we are missing in our daily foods. Also pill formed vitamins are useless this is a powder form to be mixed with water or juice. Please believe me it is wonderful. Go to reliv.Com and learn about it. You will see testimonials that are absoluteley amazing and true. I personally know friends who have benefitted immensely from this product.

You all are very lucky. My new m.R.I. Came back and I have three new lesions to add to the five I already have. I was diagnosed august '02. I feel pretty envious of you all. I am only 23 and my life is going downhill.

I had no idea that it was even possible not to have lesions show up on an mri . How do you get positively diagnosed or approved for drugs without the positive mri? Does not having lesions just mean that your ms is not as active? Hmmm. Now I guess I understand why so many people take so many years before they are finally diagnosed.

Lesions can show up on the brain, spinal cord, both or just one area.

I was a 22 year old college student when I got hit. Mehra sometimes things are rough but after time you will develope a perspective and that helps a lot. Having computer and internet access will also help you out a lot. I am no longer isolated thanks to the computer. I have friends all over the world and that makes such a big difference.

Try to develope some interests and join on line groups in those areas. You will not believe what a difference that makes to the quality of your life.
