Q: Iud Expulsion?

Hello I have an IUD for 7 months. I'm not really a user of tampons until two days ago, I tried it and it felt uncomfortable so I pulled it out fastly, I felt some cramps and I thought is just normal but when I got home and try to feel for my IUD strings. I definitely felt more than just a string. I could feel a little tip. I scheduled an emergency appointment with PP and when they checked it, they said everything is fine. I went home and checked and I cannot feel the little sharp tip anymore. What the hell happened? Am I just dreaming? Should I consult a gynecologist to get an ultrasound just to be sure it's in place?

If you are worried then you should get an ultrasound for your own state of mind Smile

Yeah, no harm in double checking.

The doctors always reasured me that tampon use was ok while I had and IUD, but my IUD expelled twice while usuing tampons. I started to use pads instead and have had no problems. I say all of that to say that docotrs are just people who have paid too much money for college so they can pretend to know what they are talking about. I would get an ultrasound to insure that the IUD is still properly placed.

I have had an IUD for 5 years now-----I never use pads--always tampons. I have never had a problem at all.
