I'm 17 years old and..

I started taking Trinessa after I had an ovarian cyst rupture. It was mainly to stop the excessive bleeding I had been experiencing (went through a super-plus tampon in less than an hour.) and it worked right away. About two weeks after being on the birth control, I had sex for the first time. (mid-february) I wasn't too paranoid then, since a condom was used for most of the experience. When the time came for my period to start, nothing ever came. So I started the next month's birth control...and a day after I started the bc, I had unprotected sex. We used the withdrawal method just incase....but I'm worried sick. I think I started my period this week...but I'm not sure.

I've never had a menstrual cramp in my life...but I've been bleeding this week...have had nausea...and...what I believe to be cramps...but I'm just not sure.

Having not ever had cramps before...or nausea associated with the menstrual cycle has me confused.

I don't know what to think of everything that's happening.

Well, you were on the birth control long enough to prevent pregnancy, and a condom was used, so I'd say your chances are very low.

However I would get a test and check anyway, there's no other way to know!

Just do it, and you'll feel better knowing for sure ^_^

I second that. The only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test. If you can't afford one, then try to find your nearest crisis pregnancy center and they should be able to help you get tested and then be there to support you if you are pregnant.

I would say you probably are not pregnant, but there is a chance of course. But to be pregnant, you would have had to have 2 different methods of birth control fail and the likelihood of that is very slim.

Mm, a crisis pregnacy center might not be the best place to go. Planned parenthood will give free pregnancy tests and are less likely to be biased in one direction or the other. They can also give her more information about her birth control and other forms.
