well, landon was doing AWESOME at his solids! i feed him at breakfast lunch and dinner every single time . He loved peas, and peas and carrots! He would open his mouth everytime i would say open and have the spoon ready and in it would go and hed swallow , i tried carrots 3/4 days ago and he ate it the first time then he ate it but not as much he didnt seem to like it that much, after the first day he stopped opening his mouth and he would turn his head and just stare at it but not eat it. so after 4 days(yesterday) i tried wax beans. and it made him sooo gasy! like burping every couple min. and after the first feeding the same thing, turning his head and not opening his mouth at all, and he got little red bumps allo ver his chin where the food got on his skin so im thinking he was illergic to it, and plus after his bath he threw up a whole ton of the beans all over me, so i think hes allergic to it and it didnt make his tummy feel good thats for sure. so today i tried the peas again because he LOVES peas and the exact same thing, turning the head, and if i do get it in his mouth he'll spit it out..everything was going SO well, wat did i do ?! AHHH

hun you really need to stop stressing about this. its not that big of a deal. my son would only want to eat solids like once a week, until he turned nine months, now he eats them every day. your son is still young and maybe he isnt as ready like i have said a million times before. you dont have to be in such a rush.
just try like once a week and if he doesnt want it then stop. dont force him. then try again the next week and so forth.
as for the beans, they are extremely hard for the human body to digest, that is why they make people gassy. i would not give a baby beans because they still have immature digestive systems and they are known to cause bloating and stomach cramps.

Have you tried a variety with him? Does he like fruit? Maybe he gets sick of the same thing. Adriana will love a certain food, so she'll eat mostly that for a few days, and then she's over it and wants something new.

Girl, if your doctor instructed you to try that....I would take his advice over random people on the internet anyday. I think you're doing a great job and .landon is still learning, he'll get it eventually! Smile

*edited to add. He's still pretty young to be sleeping through the nights anyways...I think he's doing good for only getting up once!! Also, solid foods don't always equal a full nights sleep. Good luck

I completely understand! I'm a first time mom too, and I don't want to mess anything up either. But never be afraid to ask your doctor questions, or call in and ask their nurse. If you ever need anything feel free to pm me!
