I have had a bad history with Kidney Stones while being pregnant. I was recently told by a Urologist that I have a pinched nerve around my right kidney that makes it feel like I have Kidney Stones. Not to say that I don't believe him, it just doesn't sound right. To be in this much pain and it just be a nerve. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated or ideas to help with the pain that won't hurt the baby. By the way I'm 5 months pregnant. Thanks!

Kidney Colic
I had that. At first I was told it was kidney stones...and as the pregnancy continued and I was hospitalized with it-- they discovered it was not an actual kidney stone, but it was pinched the tube...cause blockage..so, the pain feels exactly like a kidney stone.

I too am suffering the same thing at 28 weeks pregnant! Doctors pre warned me as the pregnancy progresses that renal colic could strike leaving me in more pain then a shot gun wound! In my case my tube that drains fluid from my kidney to my bladder is dialated to double the size of normal. This is common in pregnancy with kidney disorder sufferers. But the pain strikes so fast and intense that you feel like you cant even breathe! To every problem there is a solution tho, I have been using a warm pack over the area for relief and Panadiene to help with pain also! The doctor gave me morphene tablets although I dont like to take them unless I have to as they make me feel like im on illegal drugs and worry for the safty of my son cooking away inside my womb! Just wanted to make a note so people know they are not suffering on there own. You are aloud to scream or cry with the pain!!! IT sure is a real pain that im only praying will end after the birth of my beautiful son!!! KEEP STRONG EVERYONE!!! XxCHRISSYxX
