Hey I was wondering if someone could help me with this.
Last week I developed an itch in my genital areas... the next day I noticed.. (im trying to think how I can describe this).. sort of red sores.. I suppose you could compare them to that of heat lumps or something.
I have hd no abnormal discharge... just alot of itching.
It is also painful to pee occasionally.

I have not had sex recently, but did have oral sex about a month ago.
I havn't been to the docs or a gyno, 'cause im scared of what this might be.
Please help!!

Um, being afraid of what it might be is not going to make it go away, it's not going to cure you.

You have to go to the doctor.

Im not expecting it to go away, and I am going to go to a doctor.. but I want an idea of what it might be.
So that I can either go to a gyno or my doc.
Also whether I will need to tell the other person (I.e. the one i had oral sex with) thats what im more scared of.

Well other than peeing is there any other pain in your genital area? I just developed a really bad yeast infection and BV not long ago and I was thinking it was herpes or genital warts, and when that first started I didn't have much discharge. But I don't know I do think that abormal discharge with a yeast infection would come in at least the first few days at the most. But that does sound almost exactly like what I went through. Do your sores hurt? When I experienced mine my sores didn't hurt there was just alot of itching, and the only pain was when I would pee occasionally. Just make sure you get to a gyno or a clinic asap. If you do go to a clinic like planned parenthood, they're going to ask you what you want to be tested for. When they ask you that tell them that you want a doctor to look at you first so that they can decide what it is you need. =)

No there is no other pain. Just itching.
So you think this could be a yeast infection yes?
I was worried it could be herpes and I scared of sugestion to the other person that I thought I might have caught that off him.

Where exactly are the sores? Are they actually on your vagina/labia, or are they more on the skin around your pubic area?

It sounds to me like you may have an infection of some sort, but yeast infections generally do not produce sores likes the ones you are describing.

I think you should go to the doctor as soon as you can just to put your mind at ease. Good luck! Smile

Yeah mine was alot like a red rash on the inside and outside of it, and it didn't occur until a couple weeks into my problems. What type of cream are you using? If it's monistat, canesten or some type of over the counter cream for yeast infections and it seems to be helping then that's really good =) But even if your symptoms completely go away you should still get to the doctor just in case it's some type of std like herpes that comes and goes on and off. Also, the red heat lump like sores you're describing is exactly what I experienced. Though alot of people don't experience yeast rashes with a yeast infection it's not totally rare and it does happen more than people think it does, that's what the doctors told me at Planned Parenthood. You shouldn't just rule out the possibilities of Herpes or Genital Warts, because it's still possible. But it really sounds like some type of infection to me. The only way you'll know is it to get to a doctor, I'd recommend a gyno. =)

yeast infections don't go away until a doctor perscribes you a medication to treat them.
