I have polymyositis. Im 24 and wish to have a child but am afraid of the potential complications it may cause me and or the unborn child. Ive been taking Azathioprine ("generic for Imuran") and prednisone. Are there ant other meds that can be taken while pregnant?

Azathiprine is definitely proved that damages the fetus in people. Prednisone is proven to damage the fetus in animal studies but there are no data about fetal damage in humans. Polymiositis is an autoimmune disorder that can be treated with immunomodulating and immunosupressive drugs. All the those drugs are contraindicated during pregnancy.
You can consult some gynecologist and rheumatologist about your situation.
