Q: Pain/burning After Urination - 1 1/2 Years Long

Hi

I'm a young guy and I've had this pain/burning after urination for about a year and a half. The only way that I don't have the pain/burning is if I consume large amounts of water.

I usually drink 3-4 water bottles (16.9oz) before I can do anything. It used to be less but has gradually became worse. Drinking so much water causes me to get up hours before I actually have to leave for school or whatever I'm doing that day. Throughout the day I continue to drink water and after I ejaculate I have to repeat the 3-4 water bottles.

I have been to many GPs and 3 urologists. I'm set to visit a 4th urologist in a couple of weeks. I have done every test possible and everything has came back normal.

I know this is a very awkward problem but if you could provide any insight, it'd be greatly appreciated because I just want to have my life back.

Thanks in advance.

The doctors haven't provided any sort of diagnosis? Not even chronic urinary tract infections?

If conventional doctors have been exhausted, I'd talk to a naturopath. Alternative medicine generally tries to heal the root cause and the person, while conventional treats the symptoms. So even if there is no exact diagnosis, it's possible that you may benefit from doing things that are good for urinary system in general.

I don't have a UTI, they call it Dysuria. It's a pretty generic name to classify lots of pain/burning issues.

The last urolgoist (whom I visited the most and who performed a cystoscopy) said that there is nothing left I can do. He recommended a special pelvic phsyical therapist, psychotherapy and acupuncture. He doesn't gurantee anything but he says anything is worth a try since I'm stuck. I'm visiting one more urologist on the 20th and in between them I'm trying to change my diet and eating healthier and consuming less acidic drinks.
