Hi
My name is Misty, I am 20 years old and have had epilepsy since I was 14 also.
I now have a 5 month old baby. When I found out I was pregnant I was taking 5 500mg Keppra a day and my doctor had switched me to Phenobarbital (not sure if I spelt that right) but he said that its the only known seizure medication that does not harm the baby.
When I got pregnant I was seizure free for a little over a year and would have still been seizure free if my pharmacy didnt run out of the 20mg tablets that I was taking

Hey Carla,
I'm new to this forum. I got pregnant on Tegretol and my baby is fine she is 19 months of age
. No I didn't have any grand mal seizures while pregnant. The specialist I was under said that tegretol is one of the safest drugs to be on whilst pregnant. I took folate in big doses eg.3-5mg and then in the last month Vitamin K.
