Posted: 03-08-07 00:41am

I'm 17 years old...i am NOT sexually active
i''m posting this here because there was no other appropriate forum section to post it.

my vagina has a tender lump on it...it's on the "lip" of the vagina...it's uncomfortable and it only started yesterday. Yesterday it was not uncomfortable...it was just a small pump now it feels as though i have a pimple on it...

help? please?
it's just red...its not white or anything like that

First, let me say I'm male so there may be some things I'm unfamiliar with and leaving out.

However, since you're not sexually active that pretty much rules out an STD. Pimples happen anywhere on the body, not just the face, so it's very possible it's just a zit. Zits don't always provide whiteheads right away and sometimes not at all.

Another possibility is an ingrown hair, especially if you shave.

I had a painful lump on one of my outer labia a while back... it was deep in the skin so I couldn't really see a color on it, and it eventually faded away.

I wouldn't worry too much; especially if you're not sexually active. But if it does not go away and you're still concerned, I'd recommend calling your doctor. Good luck! Smile

I had that too after I got waxed. It went away a couple days later.

I have one too, and i just found this website after going through a search engine. Are you sure it's nothing? Because I'm really worried, mine doesn't even hurt, it's just a lump on the lip. But it's red... Is there anyway to get rid of it?

ivw had one of those and i was freaking out, it was painful also.. but later on i squez it and it popped it hurt like a #$%#$%$#% but it was just a pimple.. pimples come up anywhere on the body.... sometimes if they are too deep in the skin, they wont pop... but if you are not sexually ative i wouldnt worry about stds or anything... pimples on the vagina are also more painful than most pimples...

The best way to get rid of it is to keep the area clean and don't pop it. Popping can spread infection, and you certainly don't want more of them down there.
