About 5 months ago I had an operation and the next day I noticed a red burn-like mark on my forearm about 1cm in length. I thought perhaps I had been accidentally pinched or burned during surgery and as it didn't hurt I just accpepted it. It didn't fade but then it didn't grow but the other week I noticed another spot on my forearm that is slightly raised and shiny with some bruising in the surrounding skin. This hasn't dimminished either and I have since found a similar mark on the back of my leg. The three spots are not painful or broken but I'm concerned that the other mark showed up just before I had a cold sore (which incidentally I hit with zovirax and was reduced before it ever had a chance to flourish and weap).

My neck gland is slightly raised and my face and scalp itch a bit but otherwise I'm fine in myself.

Is this just some skin condition or do I perhaps have something more sinister?

Many thank's in advance!

Those are symptoms of an awful lot of things, some serious, some not. Your best bet is to talk to your doctor.
