While stallion may have all of the ingredients we are looking for I think it would be more effective to buy GABA, anti-histamine, and an SSRI/5-HTP individually because you could get more pills for less cost and in higher doses. You will be paying an outrageous amount for a PE specific pill. I already take an anti-histamine and an SSRI and have gone from a 10 second man to a 3-4 minute man so I think I may order GABA and see how it works. From what I have read it seems to be the missing link.
Sept. 20, 2004 -- A drug used to treat seizures and shingles pain may
help men with premature ejaculation, a case study shows.
It's estimated that 25% to 40% of men struggle with premature
ejaculation. The report by Pierre Chue, MD, of the University of
Alberta, Canada, focuses on just one man.
It is, however, an interesting case. Mr. X, Chue notes, is 40 years
old and has always had a problem with premature ejaculation. Chue says
he tried all kinds of remedies, including:
* The "stop-pause, stop-squeeze" coital techniques with his partner
* A condom lined with lidocaine, a sensation-deadening drug
* SSRI antidepressants, which can have an antiejaculation side effect
* Antianxiety medications, which made Mr. X sleepy
Only the latter treatment -- that is, drinking alcoholic beverages
before sex -- seemed to help. "Clearly this was not a feasible regular
option," Chue wryly notes in the September issue of the Canadian
Journal of Psychiatry.
But the patient's success with booze gave Chue a clue. Alcohol, he
reasoned, releases a chemical in the brain called GABA. The
antiseizure drug Neurontin also seems to up GABA. So Chue tried giving
Mr. X a dose of Neurontin one or two hours before intercourse.
Success! Neurontin worked just as well as alcohol for Mr. X, and with
no side effects at the 300-milligram dose. Doubling the dose to 600
milligrams delayed Mr. X's ejaculation even longer, but also made him
Neurontin "merits further consideration, particularly in those men for
whom other therapies are ineffective or poorly tolerated," Chue suggests.
As the body ages so does decline of HGH (Human Growth Hormones) released into the body. When this occurs your overall male sexual health suffers and soon you find yourself incapable of getting or sustaining erections.
During puberty HGH levels and overall male sexual health are at their peak and then start decreasing in your early years of manhood. By the age of 80, 75 percent of all men are impotent. As a result as we become older our sex drive diminishes.
GABA includes a natural aphrodisiac
Gama-aminobutyric acid, commonly called GABA, is an amino acid that acts as a neurotransmitter in your central nervous system. GABA is essential for maintaining overall male sexual health and wellness.
GABA is a natural aphrodisiac and calming agent in the brain and is manufactured from amino acid glutamine and glucose. GABA naturally stimulates the anterior pituitary gland to secrete higher levels of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) which has been shown to have very powerful affect on male sexual health and performance.
what GABA does
GABA naturally increases HGH (Human Growth Hormone) levels. This is very important and extremely beneficial since HGH, like many other hormones, has been shown to dramatically decline in production as you age. These decreased HGH levels affect many different aspects of your sexual heath.
GABA and your male sexual health
GABA has been shown to enhance your overall wellness and being thereby enhancing your male libido. Having good sex drive is the primary level to achieving and sustaining an erection.
During sexual intercourse Gaba increases dopamine levels and ignites a euphoric feeling. It increases sensations during orgasm and is a key player in controlling premature ejaculation and increasing overall sexual performance.
Additionally, GABA has been shown to have positive toning effects on the nervous system, to improve sleep cycles leading to more restful sleep and more interesting lucid dreaming, to have a powerful stabilizing effect on blood pressure.
Ongoing research and studies on GABA seem to indicate the following effects of using GABA:
* helps reduce anxiety, stress
* improves sex drive
* includes a natural aphrodisiac
* helps control premature ejaculation
* helps calm the body
* improves sleep and sleep quality
* increases energy levels
* improves capacity for exercise
* more HGH production increases lean tissue mass
* decreases body fat.
* improves "absent mindedness"
Sounds more like a promo talk for GABA to me. However if you guys want to try it, be my guest. However, if you are taking anti-depressants i would advise caution and consult your physician before taking too much of 5HTP, gabba, and that kind of stuff.
It seems that most people here are going the pill-popping route more and more. I'm still focussing on the "retraining" method by controlling the PC muscle.
Earlier this week i reported that i had involuntary PC-contractions during my erections, i have been focussing on these, and trying to relax the PC for a couple of days after i wake up with morning wood. (The slightest contact/pressure on my penis would cause the muscle to contract. So now i kinda push the penis while keeping the PC relaxed.) I've seen a lot of improvement in under 1 week.
y122 - I've only been taking l-arginine for about a week but my erections have been pretty good ever since it could just be in my head though.
Elixis - I've read that stuff before but good job posting it to the site. Although I don't fully believe everything said by stamina RX as they are just promoting their product by promoting the use of GABA.
Torbosk - i'm going to agree with jrpice and just say that the reason we would be using GABA is to help us relax our PC's. So it doesn't really feel to me as if i'm "pill popping" but adding a little more of naturally occuring amino-acids to my system to aid in my muscle relaxtion.
Some more food for thought: who here has tight muscles in general? I'm an althete and my muscles are always so much tighter than everybody else's since I was little till now. I stretch a lot and it helps but I'm still really tight and get really tight easily. Does this happen with everybody else? This could be why my PC is so tight too? Maybe taking GABA would help but my PC and other muscles?
I consider it a promo-talk cause they are pitching their "stamina rx" product.
I don't think i have an anti-"herbal" bias. I'm just saying i don't think a pill or supplement alone will fix this. First there was magnesium, then L-methionine, now 5HTP, gaba, ... I do hope GABA helps, lets just wait and see i guess. Did some research and read that it isnt certain that GABA can cross to the brain. However alcohol, theanine (found in tea) and L-glutamine would also increase GABA levels.
im pretty sure elixis has been on this forum for a while so they're probably not working for stamina RX. anyway ive been reading the early pages of this forum and they were all working together so i dont want to disagree with anyone.
EDIT: john414 mentioned squats as helping him relax the PC. ive mentioned this before but is anyone willing to do squats during masturbation to see if there are any positive effects?
I just tried them. I was ready to blow after coming to the point of no return several times, so I stopped, did 5 squats, and pounded away quite happily for a bit. hmm.
Everyone: Remember! Every supplement has a different effect on each of us. We all have different histamine, serotonin, etc levels in our bodies. These supplements are definitely not a 100% cure like we have the flu or something. It simply helps us easily (by taking a pill) getting to or desired body levels to HELP us relax our PC muscles, make our penis less sensitive, etc. I recommend not take a bunch at one time. I'm taking each supplement individually in order to actually feel how my body responds. Supplements increase/decrease different body levels. They cure nothing! For example, I might be taking L-Meth to decrease histamine levels but one of you guys might not need that at all because you have low histamine already.
GABA update: It's only been a couple days so it may just be a coincidence, but I feel a favorable difference when I take 750MG. It's really to early to comment but I'd figure I'd update anyways.
Sam89: I really don't think it has anything to do with muscle tightness. It seems like you are more so referring to flexibility but either way, I just don't really see that being a reason for PE. However I completely agree with your reasoning behind taking supplements.
Also if anyone is taking supplements to help relax the PC muscle I highly recommend taking them individually to see which vitamin your body is lacking or needs more of to help delay ejaculation. All these supplements have individual unique effects on the body. Don't take them just to take them.
Squats helping improve your endurance Jprice as it did with John is quite interesting. The squats stretching out the PC muscle could help to control it because its not so tight, which should make it less sensitive to everything.
Does anyone remember at one point when talking about massaging the PC muscle area, or gooch area? I do believe that helped, but I forget why interest was lost in it?
anyone tried just putting ice on their perinium/pc muscle? Or bengay to calm it down.. maybe a combo would be better ice then apply bengay. anyone heard of tongan limu maybe that would help buts its pricey or u could get limu plus for 44 bucks a bottle..for the serotonin stuff try whey protein the l-trytophan in it would probably be absorbed better than a pill seeing its just powder u mix in a drink.. calcium helps with muscle spasms.. fish oils and borage oils suppose to convert into good prostagladin to help heal the inflammation of the pc muscles.. the reason they are jumping and contracting is probably cause they are inflammed..u could try spirulina and chlorella im on methoinine,spirulina,chlorella fish,borage evening primrose,whey protein,calcium once in ahwile,maca,trubulus,horny goat weed ect. Out of all that icing the pc muscles has some benefit for me.. but ill continue to see if i can heal with the ice alone
I've been pondering my PE very deeply recently. I'm now wondering if any of you might share some of the characteristic physical/neurological traits I've had all my life...but before I list those, let me start with the most basic question:
HOW MANY OF YOU ARE CIRCUMCISED?
After careful scrutiny and self-exploration, I've realized that my PE is probably rooted in an extreme over-sensitivity of the penis JUST BELOW the penis head on the bottom side. This is precisely where the foreskin would have been if I were NOT circumsised, but which is missing now. I am wondering if it is possible to have been given a "defective" circumcision which cuts too close to the nerves, for example...
The more I explore my phallus the more I realize that every part of it is quite normal. The head, the entire trunk and top part would all last quite long in bed...IF it were not for a very small area of tight skin just beneath the head of the penis on the underside.
