i don't know officially. i'll try to remember to hop on the scale with him tomorrow.

at his last appointment (at exactly 2 1/2 months old) he was 14 lbs 8 oz. i'm guessing he's around 18 pounds right now but we don't go to the doctor until the 21st. he's a big guy! he's really long too, sometimes i stare at him while he's sprawled out in his crib sleeping and i can't get over how big he is.

he gets 6oz every 4 hours, which totals 5 bottles a day (sometimes 4) so i don't think i'm overfeeding him. he's just my little linebacker!

i think finn's going to be really tall. i'm 5'5" and nick's like 5'11", his dad is short (probably about 5'5") but my dad is 6'2" and my older brother is 6'4".

he's outgrowing his 6-9 month sleepers!

i just weighed him on our scale and it said 18 pounds exactly, but that's immediately following a bottle and he's wearing a heavy fleece sleeper.

he doesn't get his shots until the 21st.

true.

I fed .oni 6oz 4 times a day, and she was averaging 3lbs per month.
Her Dr. was flippin out, but I didn't change anything.
And now she's still off the charts, but the Dr. has realized that it's not due to my feeding her too much.

Speaking of, I have a car today, I think I'm going to call her Dr. I think it's been a month! lol...my brain is SHOT!!

some babies are petite and dainty (like alyvia) and others are solid and beefy (like finn).

i didn't think 4-5 6oz bottles in 24 hours was too much but now you guys have me doubting it.

his doctor says he's fine, everything's proportionate and he's not overweight. we're going to discuss starting him on solids at his next appointment (when he'll be 4 1/2 months) but i think i'm going to hold off until he's around 6 months.

he doesn't even look fat to me, just chubby like a baby should be.

Don't ever doubt yourself.

If I had listened to the girls on here who called my baby fat, and obese, and every other hurtful word you could imagine; .oni would be anorexic.

You know his needs. And if he needs 6oz every 4 hours, then that's what he needs. Period.

My .s.i.l, on the other hand who's 4 month old is only 2lbs shy of my 10 month old...is scary.

I promise, when he can start movin around more and crawling, he'll start shedding the baby weight and start only gaining about a lb a month!

Oni's got an appt today! This post inspired me! I'm curious to see how much she weighs! lmao!

well if he is growing then there is no problem...but eventaully youll have to increase that amount or start giving him some starter cereal and he will drink even less than what he is now.
