Q: Dizziness And Ms?

I am a 26 y/o femail and I was diagnosed with transverse myelitis about 2 1/2 years ago. I had two lesions in my spine, shown by a series of MRIs. Symptoms included numbness from my torso down and excruciating pain in a ring around my chest and back right were the biggest lesion is. The symptoms eventually subsided and I am not on any meds. Last MRIs (about a year ago) showed no progression.

Although I had two attacks, some time apart, I was diagnosed with TM instead of MS because the brain MRIs were clear.

Here is my problem: Recently (about a month) I have been experiencing dizzy spells. It doesn't matter what I am doing; sleeping (they have woken me up), sitting, standing or walking. The dizzy spells themselves last about 30 seconds, then I feel 'off' for another 30 minutes to an hour until the effects have totally worn off. I have been averaging about one per day, sometimes going a full day or two without a spell, and sometimes 2 - 3 in a day.

Has anyone else with TM or MS had anything like this? Should I go back to the Dr.? I hesitate because Drs and tests are so expensive and I am a graduate student. That means very little money and horrible insurance.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Gretchen
