Sexual Health - Men Forum - 20 Year Old Virgin.

im not sure if i should be concerned.
all of my friends have already lost their v-cards, even the friends that are younger than me. also, basically everyone that ive met has already done "the naughty" before.

i DO think about it, and i do have my fantacies, but i'm not sure what is holding me back. Part of it might be my shyness, part could be influence from my parents/religion, but i also tell myself that i want to save it for after marriage. whatever the case... i want to see what others think about it.

in your opinion do you think you would commend me or laugh at me concerning my case? praise me or flame me, i dont care. i want to hear the honest truth.

I don't think it's a big deal at all. I know many people older than you who lost their virginity only recently or have not lost it at all yet. I can't imagine why it would matter. Not everyone is ready at the same time, and not everyone defines "ready" in the same way.

A lot of people are virgins that long and longer. It's your choice. The important thing is to own it. If your friends laugh, then realize it doesn't matter what they say and don't be bothered with it. If you're not humiliated by jokes, then they're not funny, even to those making the jokes. They might still jab at you, but that's what friends do. If it's more than jabs, they're not friends.

this sounds more like a peer problem than your v-card. friends that don't respect you are not your friends.

I lost my v-card in my now 30's. I wasn't ready to have sex in my 20's being unmarried. Particulary at 20 sex didn't even crossed my mind. I was busy studying in college and didn't felt ready to have an accidental unwanted pregnancy not to mention an abortion at such a young age. If you want to have a sexual life you need to forget peer pressure and think more of what the consequences are going to be. Like std's and unwanted pregnancies. Are you are ready to deal with both if they happen?

Power to you!!!! Not many people have that train of thought now a days. And it's sad to say most men don't. I think you need to trust your gut and go with what makes you feel right. I don't think it is any reason for someone to laugh at you. I personally would love to meet a man who is saving himself for marriage that really is a special thing. And to be honest I wish I would have (except my daughter I don't regret that).
