I am so confused! I recently stopped taking my birth control pills. My lmp was 2-20-07. I did not start my next pack. Today I began bleeding heavily. Did I already ovulate? Is it to early for me to have ovulated? Is this with drawl bleeding? I am just so confused. I cant start tracking when i even *might* be ovulating until I get regular and I cant even tell if this counts or not. Im sorry for rambling..Im just so frustrated. Thank you for any advice!

Remember, when you get off of BC you can ovulate almost immediately!

Yes, this very well could be your period.

If you are trying to avoid pregnancy by tracking your cycles, then doing so after BC is not advised. You need to wait a few months to see how everything works out.

Thank you for your help. You have helped so many women and I want you to know that you are appreciated. I do however, have another question. I stated in my earlier post that I had begun bleeding. Well the bleeding has gotten *very* heavy. I am going through one super tampon every 45min. -1hr. It was never like this on birth control. I have also passed many *large* clots. I'm slightly concerned. But, I have been on birth control for so long I don't know if this is an adverse reaction to the hormones, or if this is what it is suppose to be like. Again, sorry for the rambling, I guess I'm just paranoid. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated!

Most natural periods are quite heavy, unlike the ones on BC pills.

It may very well be normal for your body, but it does sound like a lot. If that pattern of heaviness lasts for too long, you should def call your doc.

If it continues to be this heavy through the night. (I was in so much pain i had to take a vicodin and a soma). I will definitely be calling my doctor in the morning. If this is how it will be on a monthly basis, I am not sure I can continue this. I may have to go back on birth control Crying or Very sad

Thank you very much for your concern. It is very nice to have someone to talk to.

Many women have painful and unmanageable cycles, so they stay on BC because if ehalth reasons.

If you do not wish to have babies, BC is the best protection you are gonna get, and it keeps your period manageable.

That is the problem. I went of birth control because we want to have a child. We are not actively trying. We wont be temping or anything. We wanted to take a when-it-happens-it-happens approach. Just let it happen (at least for the initial few months) then possibly get more aggressive. That is why I am so upset about the current events. If this is going to be a monthly occurrence...I just don't know if I can do it. Crying or Very sad I'm sorry for venting. I am just very emotional right now.
