Acne Due to Hormonal Imbalance?? Posted: 03-02-07 14:24pm
I am 32 years old never suffered from acne
proir to my 3rd pregnancy, and going off
off birth control. My son is almost 2 1/2
and I'm still having te acne that began
with him at pregnancy. I also believe
stress, and the prescription drug Celexa
is also a contributing factor. I tried to
go off of it for about 6 weeks, and I was
able to reduce my stress periodically, and
my acne was noticably better, even gone at
times. However, since my stress factor
increased again, and I started taking
celexa again my acne is back as it was
before (moderate). My skin is not oily in
fact a normal combination for my age.
I'm faithfully using a quality skin care
maintenance program (for 20's skin),
weekly vitiman D mask, and I take flax
seed oil capsules. I've also done
microderm treatments. I do not have
sensitive skin, and I don't believe it's a
reaction to my skincare. I do think it's
a hormonal imbalance, and stress. I am
considering asking for a prescribtion
change to see if that would help, but is
their any other ideas or suggestions out
there?
