Does Endometrial Ablation Result In Menopause?

Background: 37 yr old, 4 kids, already had tubal, still having very irregular cycles, had many fibroids, dr finally did a endometrial ablation, where they insert boiling liquid into the uterus to basically cause it to become all scar tissue, ie.. no uterine lining will equal no or less bleeding.
Fast forward 6 months since this procedure, have never had another period, doc said about 1/2 who have this procedure never get it again. The other half have very light periods.

Question is this... Anyone else have experience with this procedure? Since I am no longer having periods, does this mean I am in menopaus? I do have hot flashes, but I don't consider them severe. I am on no meds. Thank you for any advice you may have.
