I'm with you 100% - I wanted a strong name for a son and a feminine pretty name for a daughter. We found out it was a girl and settled on .alyvia. I won't get into my reasons for changing it from .Olivia, so .i'll just say that we're very pleased with her name, we get complimented on it all the time, and she won't have a thousand of them in her classrooms.
I'm not too fond of the name .Selene. I agree, it sounds like there is something missing from it. I do like .Alexis, but as mentioned already, it is a quite popular name right now. But just remember, this is your daughter too, and you should have a say in her name. If you don't like it, don't go with it.
Alyvia... is soo pretty, and i know she is my baby, but i mean i wwant every one to at least agree on the name you know it is there first grand baby, at least that's how i feel right now ! maybe later i will be like f *** it but ahhh i want her to have a name already ! and ive been looking but there arnt any that i like do you guys know of any websites that have good cute baby girl names?
The right name will come to you when it's time. In the meantime though, there are thousands of websites out there and tons of baby name books you can buy. Good luck in your name hunt!!! Luckily, my husband and I were able to agree on names fairly easily. I'm only 15 weeks along, so we don't know what we are having yet, but we have a name picked out for boy or girl!
well i dont know if that even how they wanted to spell it like selene or celine ? im not sure but if anything that can be her middle name if it works well with the first name i still like alexis ! but its so common !
