About 3 weeks ago my dentist noticed I had a swollen right tonsil. Since I have not been sick and he is fairly certian that it has not been there all along he urged to to go to my doctor. I went to my doctor and she took a look at it and did a strep test that was negitive. It have no pain from it and there are no white spots. She reffered me to and ENT. My apointment with him is on Mrch 8th. Since I have seen my doctor a week ago I have developent a relentless headache that seems to be immune to asprin, motrin, etc and a pluged ear sensation. I have also noticed that there is a tender spot under my armpit and it seems a bit swollen compared to my other one. Not a hard lump of any kind but kind of soft swollen spots.

Should I go back to my regular doctor with this new stuff or just wait to see the ENT next Thrusday? Looking on line at the whole swollen tonsil thing is terrifying. If it is not something bad what else could it be? I guess I am just looking for some reasuring words and some posibilties besides the whole cancer option that I am finding out there.

I am a 41 year old female, in good health.
