Hi I am new here just looking for people to talk to about IF issues. My husband is sterile so we are using donor sperm to get pregnant. We are on our 6th cycle.4 were natural and 5 and 6 were with clomid. In cycle #5 I had a chemical pregnancy.I just had my iui today so I am in the 2ww.I look forward to meet people who are in the same situation.Even people dealing with different kinds of IF issues.Thank you for listening.

Iui With Frozen Donor Sperm
Hi! Just saw your post from Feb. I am new to the site. I know at that time you were starting your 2ww. I hope that cycle worked out for you, and you are "big-bellied" by now. I am also using frozen donor sperm as I have a female partner. It's hard to find someone who doesn't have the "luxury" of trying to conceive in addition to iui's. Don't know where you are in the process (again, hopefully it has all worked out), but I'd like someone to bounce things off of too. If you're still around maybe we can talk each other through.

Iui With Donor Sperm
Glad you got my message. Good to hear back from you. We're about a week or so from the next cycle. Short (kinda short anyway) version of our story... I'm 40, partner 42. Tried first with her about 5 years ago. Egg quality came back bad. Then tried with me 3 times with one doctor (also had lap done, 1 tube removed due to endo). Really liked the doctor, but had me on a crazy amount of meds producing approx 10 follicles each time (kinda treated me like an IVF patient instead of iui). Switched docs Feb 2006. Retested everything. FSH 5.1 and 4.3. Clomid challenge came back great. Checked remaining tube--all clear. Got pregnant on 2nd iui Nov. 2006. Had miscarriage at 11 weeks due to exposure to a child with parvovirus (came up in my bw), took a few months off. Got pregnant again 1st try this past June (Chemical pregnancy). Miscarried 1st week of this month. Anxious to start again...but very nervous after all that's happened. That's our stuff. What's your story? That's a big move--back to Greece! Is that where you are both originally from? Would like to keep in touch if you're up for it.

Hi Patti I would love to stay in touch.I am so sorry to hear all that u have gone through. It is so hard dealing with IF and then to go through all this.I on the other hand ck out fine knock on wood. But I see that everything looks good with u as well.

Well I was born and raised here but my parents are from greece and we used to go every summer.I loved it so much there I moved there in '02 met my husband about a year later.Got married within a year and then he thought we should move here and try our luck.I dident want to move back cause I love the lifestyle over there.Anyway did him the favor have been here for 20 months and he hates it here to now.So we are on our way back.So we leave Aug 13th and I already have an appt. with an RE in greece for Aug 27th.We plan on going on vacation when we get back but we cant leave til Aug 20th cause his sister is getting married on the 19th.We need time away to relax then get back and start with treatments again.I kind of dreed it cause I am so afraid of getting negitive results again.Anyway I know it will happen for us I just keep praying soon.

So you from NJ?We are pretty close to eachother I am in MD.I wish u and ur partner all the luck in the world with this next cycle.Hope to keep in touch.

Well, good luck with the move. I've never been to Greece, but hear it's incredibly beautiful. I'm curious too whether the REs there have a different take on IF treatments than they do here. And that sounds like perfect time to start with a new doctor--fresh off of a vacation. All the best to you and your husband as well. I'm kind of dreading the next cycle myself, but unfortunately neither one of us will get pregnant by accident, so you gotta do what you gotta do. Looking forward to keeping in touch. I'll let you know once we officially get started. Patti

Thanks I need some luck.I really hate goodbyes so I cant wait until I leave and get it all over with.Greece is beautiful and if u ever get a chance u should go.I am curious to see what the RE in greece will say I am very exctied cause I hear greece has some of the best RE's in the world.I have also heard great things about this RE that I will go to.U are right we cant get pregnant without the help of the RE's so we have no choice but to keep going and spending money.Oh well keep me posted on ur cycle I really hope this is the lucky one for u.Take care.

Yeah, saying goodbye is not my strong suit either. I'm sure you'll feel better once it's all over. I find that the anxiety LEADING UP to something is worse than actually doing it. It sounds like you and your husband have a lot to look forward to though--new start, new home, new doctor...that's great! We are hopefully about a week out from starting meds. I'm kinda getting a little "antsy". Just want to get started again. I think the waiting times (especially the 2ww) are the hardest. At least during the cycle you're so busy running for ultrasounds and bloodwork, it makes the time fly by a little faster. We are fast approaching what would have been our due date (from our first miscarriage)--August 12. My niece is due to have her daughter about 10 days later, and that's been really tough to hear about. We also found out about our sister-in-law's pregnancy about a week before our last miss. It all makes me want to hide under the covers and not come out. Take care. Patti

Hi! It's been a while. Hope the move went well. I think this is about the time you and husband planned for vacation. Hope it's a nice, relaxing one for you. We are in the 2ww right now (6dpo). Of course it never goes fast enough for anyone. Will probably start testing about 10dpo (Saturday). Will let you know. By the way, good luck with your RE appt. next week. Patti

Iui With Donor Sperm
Hi! I saw your post. Welcome to the site. I'm very sorry to hear of your miscarriage. I know how hard they are. I've had 2 myself--January 07 and July 07. My partner (female) and I have been trying to have a baby for about 5 years now. We've taken breaks throughout and have been going full-fledge without breaks for the past 1 1/2 year. I am also in the 2ww. Just a few days behind you. I would normally be due for my period this Friday. The wait is BRUTAL, isn't it? When are you going to test? Let me know how it goes. Good luck!!!

DIUI with puregon
Hi guys

I am new to this site, I am on day 3 of puregon injections and getting ready for donor IUI next week hopefully. Got blood tests and scans this friday and sunday then if all okay I go ahead next wednesday. I am new to all this and don't know what to expect but I see so many sad stories on these sites I am not very hopeful and trying not to get excited or emotional. Is there anybody out there who has had success with 1 or 2 IUI's?

I am new to this site as well. Had my first iui with donor sperm and clomid today. My husb sperm quality is not good, we just found out after ttc on own for about a year. Now just waiting...anyone have luck with IUI and clomid? All my test came back really good, and I am young, so hoping this will work!

I am new here as well.
We found out a year ago that my husband has CBAVD so we arent able to get pregnant naturally on our own. So have turned to IUI using donor sperm.
After 2 unsuccessful IUI we started doing ultrasounds to monitor timing better and I have been on clomed the past few months. So far 5 IUIs have been unsuccesful and I am getting very discouraged. Im quite young and have no "known" fertility issues myself. We have been so hopeful each month but finding it harder and harder to stay positive. I just want it to work so bad! Before we run out of money!
The more positive stories I hear the better! I feel as if it didnt work after 5 tries then why would it ever work?!?!
