Alternative to Lipitor?

Lipitor, the cholesterol-lowering treatment, remains the best-selling drug in America. But are there cheap generic drug alternatives that are just as effective as Lipitor?

You do not need to take cholesterol reducing drugs, you can do it naturally with a low carb diet. Unless your cholesterol is dangerously high due to a genetic condition you should not need to take drugs which are incredibly dangerous. You need cholesterol to stay healthy and the doctors' obsession with eliminating it just shows how bad their knowledge of the subject is. Research into low carb/high fat diets, this will get your bad LDL reduced and your good HDL raised, but more importantly, will reduce your triglycerides which are the truly bad blood lipids. Save your money, don't buy drugs, buy good food instead.

I disagree that just a healthy lifestyle will help. If it is a genetic condition, good eating habits are not just what you need. You may need something else. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if there is something else you can substitue. I know there is Cholestoff. That is a vitamin supplement. Good luck

Have you guys seen the list of conditions associated with Statin drugs like Lipitor?
Diarrhea, headaches, kidney disease, sexual dysfunction, muscular problems and more and more.
There is NO WAY that I would go near Statin drugs.
