My daughter is 5'2" and her baby was 8 lbs 8 oz 20 1/2 inches at birth.
She was 12 lbs 8 oz and 24 inches at three weeks.
She's going to be tall like her daddy and her granny.

"granny" is 6' apparently. - Granny was the person who said the above quote.

baby puts on 4lbs in 3 weeks?

I figured the normally lost a bit of weight first and then put on like a few ounces a week until about 6 months when they could gain as much as a pound there abouts.

correct me if I'm wrong...

Just been to grab my 'red book' they give you when you have a baby and my son put 9oz in 2 weeks and 5 days so I think either that baby is being fed lard butties or that lady had got her figures wrong! Shocked

YES THEY CAN GAIN THAT MUCH..IT DEPENDS ON THE GENES AND WHAT THEY ARE FEEDING THE BABY. MY SON GAINED 5 LBS IN HIS 1ST MONTH. IT REALLY DOESNT SHOCK ME.
