I Know, I Know!
My daughter (18 mos. old) has severe allergies to egg, wheat, soy, sesame, corn, peanuts, and tree nuts. She has almost died once (at 9 mos. old). PM me and I can give you some advice. Where are you located and what is the age of the little one? I know where you're coming from and I always welcome new advice. You can always contact me and I will share what I know!

That is so strange that this topic was brough up now. My hubby just found out that he has a food allergy to corn products! That means corn flour, corn starch, corn syrup, etc... I'm so frustrated trying to find things to make because so much has corn syrup and corn starch in it!

there are a ton of product out there for allergic folks. Problem is when you combine allergies, it becomes more difficult. Most food products contain at least one allergen. The web is a great source for ordering food, as are the natural food stores. Do a search on all of the "names" used for the product your allergic to (you'de be surprised at how many names corn has!) and read labels each and evry time-even if it is the same packaging, it may be processed at different plants. Read, read, read. You guys can always contact me for alot of info. Good luck!

pooh bear make sure that if he ever needs an i.v in the hospital to tell them no it has corn product in it. plus my lil boy cant have the vaccine m.m.r because he is allergic to eggs. my son is four years old and i am from IL. it totally sucks especially the peanutbutter on because i have to make sure that no one brings anything with pb for lunch or snacks or treats cause it could kill him. he likes some of the things that he is allergic to and it breaks my heart. any info or recipes are greatly wanted thank you. and i am sorry for taking so long to reply he had surgery yesterday.so it was a long day.

Thanks for the .I.V. info. I never knew that. He has something called Eosinophilic esophagitis. Thank .God it is not severe yet. He had a choking episode last year and had to have minor surgery to have the food removed. That is how they found out about it. Apparently it's a fairly new diagnosis so Doctor's aren't really sure what to do for it. They "think" it's caused by an allergy to food so he had allergy testing done and that's how they found out he was allergic to corn products. He will have to have his throat "scoped" every so often to see if there are the eosinophils present. It can become very severe and eventually his esophagus could swell shut with scar tissue.

Good luck with your son! I can't imagine have so many allergies. It's hard enough with just one!
