I started taking microgynon 30 on the first day of my period. It says that if you take it this way your immediantly protected and dont have to use any other methods of contreception. I had unprotected sex on day 3 of taking it-i was still on my period also-and then on from day 9 of taking it...Are the chances of pregnancy unlikely?? Am I just being paranoid? I did take 2 pregnancy tests on days 17 and 18 of taking the pill and they said negative. I feel unwell...Just a bit sick and constipated im due to take my last pill of the pack today...Please help its appreciated so much x

Even if you were pregnant, it wouldn't be showing up on tests yet, so they'd be negative anyway.

Secondly,

You're not pregnant.

You are being extremely paranoid! Better safe than sorry but still! Use condoms if you don't fully trust the pill yet; I used condoms my whole first month, and I still do any time I feel I haven't been able to take the pill properly.

Thirdly, constipation and sickness could be caused by outside forces, ie your own stress! Or, it could be caused by the fact that you're at the end of the cycle. I get diarrhea near the time of my period, and sometimes constipation. Nausea, too.

-----------------------------------

In response to the two other posts you made - you do realise you can just comment in the topics you already made to ask more questions right? - you need to wait a full four weeks after the unprotected sex to test. But you didn't have unprotected sex, you were on birth control.

Next: You stated you waited 9 days untily ou had unprotected sex, and you started on the first day of your period. So, you were safe from the first day you took that pill. Even if you had started in the middle of your cycle, you still waited longer than 7 days - a week - which is how long it takes for the pills to become effective when you start mid-cycle.

You are no pregnant!
