Sinus Headaches

I have been having headaches for about a year. Narcotics won't get rid of them. I recently went to a neurologist, and the doctor gave me medicine. But he also had me get an MRI done of my brain, just in case. Well Me and my mom got a call from the nurse the other day, telling us the results of the MRI. The nurse said that the MRI clearly stated that I have Sphenoid sinus disease. I have had problems with my sinuses since I was little. But what is this disease? What are the symptoms? It is a serious disease? Are there any complications with the disease? My mom is a nurse, and even she has never heard of this before. The nurse told us that I need to go to an Ear, nose and throat doctor(ENT). We are waiting for the ENT office to call us with an appointment.
