I am currently on lamictal for my seizures
- if I were to go to klonopin - would this
medication be as effective as lamictal -
lamictal is so expensive and without my
insurance, it would be $550.00 for a 30
day supply - anyone with information on
this - pls respond immediately.

Hello pattie,
a couple of questions:
- why don't you have a medical insurance?
(maybe its too personal).
- I would ask you to follow up with your
doctor on this. Be candid with your
doctor always, never hide anything.
- I moved from depakote to lamictal.
Depakote made me become very fat. So
after one year's usage of depakote, I
moved to lamictal and have been for the
past 3.5 years.
If possible since it is a question of your
health, if you have been happy with
lamictal, I would probably ask you to
continue on this medicine.
All the best.

I wanted to thank you for your reply - the
reason why I stated about not having
insurance, my husband had cobra and that
soon runs out. All the other programs
that I have tried to consider do not pay
on existing conditions - that also
includes writing perscriptions for those
existing medications - ouch! We are
still in the process of looking for an
insurance company that will provide the
lamictal at a fraction of the cost - but
because it hasn't been on the market long
enough, there are no patents to it and it
is so expensive. I am also waiting for a
response from a professor of epilpsy in
dallas tx - he may wean me off of it and
onto something else - I hope - I will keep
you updated - thanks again. Pattie
I'm very happy with mine that i'm
taking, well I went to the d.H.S.And got my
insuance.Since I couldn't get
disabilty,and I knew that I was very
limited to work though,it would be hard to
buy my med,so they got my insuranse for
me.I don't have to pay for none of my
med,or none of my Dr.Visit,or anytime that
i'm in the hospital,none of that stuff,if
I was you,i wouldddd look into it.Your
state might be able to help you too, like
they do me.The also paid for my vns
inplant too

hi there svc - baby - wow, it is a small
world, I am going to dallas on the 28th of
oct - was the doctor that you saw jay
harvy? I think that is his name - can't
seem to find my paper work on him - but I
sure will let you know what I find out
when I visit him on tuesday - I am not
nervous or anything - but I am now
currently taking elavil - nerves - I am
only taking two lamictal daily - 200 mg -
versus 500 mg - any and all name brand
medications have to be on the market for 7
years before they can have a patent so
others can copy it - well, thanks for
your response - look for my message on
wednesday - take care and god bless!
