Q: Could I Be Miscarrying?

I had this gut feeling that I may be pregnant, the past couple of weeks, after me and my boyfriend had sex unprotected. Well, not exactly actually. i was on the pill for a year and a half, then went off for two weeks when I had no way of getting down to my doctor to fill my prescription, but I went back on the pill on the 6th of February. on the 7th is the day we had sex, no condom, no back up. He came in me and that whole deal. I got paranoid right after, most people told me it was ok since females usually don't ovulate in the first month after going off the pill.

Today is roughly two weeks since. Yesterday I had a big of spotting, and I couldn't help but think....oh crap, implantation bleeding, but today it has gotten so bad. I've had the worst cramps ever (feels like my period but a million times worse) and I have started to bleed now. My period is not due until next week.

Could I possibly be miscarrying? Is it too early too tell? I have heard something about a chemical miscarriage....?

I'm confused, if anyone could answer back that would be great...thanks

It sounds like a normal period to me. It's probably early because you stopped, then started, your birth control pills. It messed your hormones up a bit and threw your cycle off.

You're not pregnant, and you're not miscarrying. If you don't think you could handle a pregnancy right now, please be careful with sex. You might want to combine birth control methods, such as the pill and a condom, to maximise your protection. Even if taken 100% correctly, birth control still fails 8% of the time.

Be safe and good luck.
