depends on the type of low back surgery. Can be up to a year for spinal fusion but in my opinion thats the best way to go. Microdiscectomys and endoscopic microdiscectomys are not as successful as reported. I know because the success percentage rate is based on a survey and basically if you arent paralyzed you are a "success". I had the endoscopic microdiscectomy and now am way worse. Its something to pay $20,000 dollars for surgery and turn out worse off. I payed cash by the way!!!

Recovery Time
Try to stay positive. I am almost at the 2 year mark. Last Nov I got a nerve block using a fluoroscope. It helped out alot. I thought I was never going to get better. I haven't made a full recovery because I am having problems with my L4 L5 disc, which is just above my surgery, but my orginal pain is gone.
