Hi I am 27 years old and me and my husband have been trying for 6 years now for a baby. My doctor thought i had fibroid. which i didnt. I tried clomid for 5 months no luck. My doctor even noticed i wasnt even ovulating. I have irregular periods. Some times it last up to a month or so. I hate it. I always have to go to the doctor to stop the bleeding. They gave me a pill to stop it but then i wont have one for months and when it starts up again its all down hill.

I am just giving up on trying to have a baby and face the fact that it wasnt meant to happen.

Can someone give me some kind of advice?

Has your husband been checked? Have you seem specialist for infertility?
if so get another opinion! never give up on hope!! I have pco and that makes it very hard to conceive, and i havent yet but were still trying!! there is more than clomid to help also!! Good luck and keep us posted!

Answer to "Hi I am 27 years old and me and my husband have been trying for 6 years"
You really need to find out what is happening in your menstrual cycle, because although women do have irregular length cycles, to be bleeding for almost a month is abnormal. There are a number of factors which need investigating with your cycle and some background needed such as have you used steroid based birth control methods (Pill, Norplant etc) for an extended time, are you on any medication which may disrupt you hormone balance. It may be worth considering using an NFP method to chart your cycle. There are a number of website which can help such as Flionline.org have a kit called SAFE which is an Family planning system or the Billings NFP website or Napro technology website.

My husband and I concieved our first child with no help, no issues and no assistance. When we started trying for our second it was a completely different story. We tried 13 months before seeking medical opinions and consultation. During the 13 months I had missed approx. 8 periods completely periodicly (where I thought i was and got tested and wasn't) through the 13 months. When we went in to see the infertility physician she first tested all my hormone levels, they were fine. Then my husbands sperm count, fine. Then gave me a ultrasound to check for cysts, negative. I found out I most likely had PCOS and my uterus was tipped forward and to the right. PCOS is basicly a sydrome that cause you to ovulate very irregularly and inconsistantly. My dr gave me (prescribed) Clomid (50 mg pill 1 per day for 4 days, with first pill starting on the last day of your period) and then 4 weeks later I was pregnant. I am now 32 weeks pregnant and expecting a perfectly healthy amazing lil boy. Clomid isn't exactly a fertility medication, it simply cause a women to ovulate if she is not. Some women use it for other reason's then to become pregnant but it is very commonly used for that purpose as well.
